Admissions

Welcome, and thank you for your interest in San Cristobal Treatment Center.

We recognize and hold dear the life, well-being, and future of every young adult and family we serve. We understand that many families come to us tired, confused, and anxious to move forward with a solution for their son. With that in mind, we’ve designed a simple, straightforward process for you to apply for admission at San Cristobal Treatment Center.

  1. Review the website thoroughly. Develop your list of questions to go over with an admissions counselor.
  2.  Call our Admissions Department at 888.859.2538. Be prepared to discuss your circumstances, you or your son’s issues, needs and relevant background.
  3.  Click the Application link and create a new account using your email address, and begin a new ‘adult application.’
  4.  Completely fill out forms and submit via our BestNotes service, or print and fax directly to the San Cristobal Admissions Office @ 505-212-0904. Please consider including any formal assessments or evaluations that might help us better evaluate your or  your son’s application.
  5.  The Admissions Office will completely review the application and make calls to appropriate professionals provided by you in the Interventions Section of the application. We will make our best effort to make all calls within 24 to 48 hours from the time we receive the application. These calls are necessary for us to know as much about your or your son’s needs as possible before making final decisions about his admission to the program. Additionally, if circumstances allow, we require an interview with each prospective clientt prior to final admittance.
  6.  The Admissions Department will call you and/or referring agency to discuss your or your son’s appropriateness for admission. If admitted, a date for enrollment should be considered at this point. (Any parent, family or referring agency wishing to visit the property prior to moving forward with the admission should discuss and arrange directly with the Admissions Department.
  7.  Submit a ‘Bed Hold’ reservation, requiring a minimal deposit. This holds a spot for you or your son for up to 30 days. Once formally enrolled the deposit is deducted from the initial tuition payment. This deposit is non-refundable in the event for any reason you elect not to complete enrollment.
  8.  Complete all remaining forms necessary for enrollment. Forms can be acquired by speaking with you admissions counselor.
  9.  Travel logistics should be discussed with the Admissions Department. San Cristobal can assist with transportation if circumstances require. Please discuss as early as possible in the Admissions process so plans can be made accordingly.
  10. Enrollment. Program fee payments are due either prior to or on the day of enrollment. Please see the Program and Financial Agreements provided by your admissions counselor for further information.

Hopefully, these ten simple steps will make applying for admission easier and less confusing. We see Admissions as fundamental and mission-critical in not only ensuring the proper fit, but also as your first experience with San Cristobal Treatment Center. We know first impressions are important and give you an inner gut feel for the overall organization. We are committed to “getting it right” and “doing the right thing” for you or your son and your family.
